The fayre, held on April 24th, is a massive boost for the town and last year over 5,000 turned out to see the various displays, stalls, exhibitions and performances with live music acts.

Let your little ones join Knight School or try your hand at racing ducks and circus skills as part of a host of free entertainment around the town.The fun kicks off when stalls open at 10am on Sunday April 26 and at 10.30 a colourful carnival style parade will wind its way through the town centre ending at the market place.Throughout the day there is a chance to hold a bird of prey, take a narrow boat trip with Fox’s, or take a tower tour at St Peter’s Church.A vintage fire engine will be on display and among the stall-lined town centre will be a craft market, fancy dress event, vintage cycles and an art competition.
