St George's Special Attractions

With this year's attractions still to be confirmed for this year's fayre, you can scroll through what acts we had last year and if you would like to take park then you can contact us by click here.

Zorbing

zorbing has come to march, the popular attraction mainly saw falling down large hills and in lakes across the country will be in out by the library, the attraction which is normally seen in amusement parks makes this an event you can't miss.

River Trips

Hop on board the March Adventurer with Fox Narrowboat’s qualified skipper. Enjoy a half hour trip along the slow waters of the Nene departing from the town bridge every half hour, the first voyage sets sail at 10:30 am travelling through our beautiful park continuing down the quiet Nene Parade.

Rockingham Rapper

Rockingham Rapper were formed in 2004 and have been wowing audiences and winning competitions ever since,They are one of the only sword dance sides to incorporate Queen and Gilbert & Sullivan into their musical repertoire, this is most likely one of the reasons they have won the title of 'Most Entertaining Dance Side, Best Song as well as Best Solo Dance' accolade at the Moira Canal Festival in recent years. Their style of sword dance is based on the North East of England traditions and Appalachian step dances. A combination that works extremely well.The Rockingham Rappers will be performing on the Main Stage at the Market Place and also a few impromptu performances throughout the day.
 

Stilt Walkers

There will also be stilt walkers going around and entertaining everyone with their fantastic costumes and their impressive skills, blending into the fayre like it's their natural habitat charming and captivating passersby, there one of the many acts that help make St Georges Fayre so enjoyable.

Mini Golf

This year sees the return of this popular attraction from www. minigolfandgames.co.uk. Crazy golf offers fun for all the family, for children and big kids too. So why not try and hit a hole in one!

Birds of Prey

Visit the library area for your chance to hold a bird of prey. Jeff has reared some of the birds for over 20 years and continues to be a popular attraction.

 Traditional games

SC Games and Prop Design will be in the library area with all your favourite games. Why not try and win a coconut or beat the buzzer. 

Storytelling 

The March Society will be in the library area at 11 am 12:30 and 2 pm Come and join them and enjoy an exciting St George’s Tale.

 Vintage fire engine

Visit Vivien the Fire Engine, try on the junior fire kit, have your picture taken sitting on the fire engine which this year will be 85 years old. 

Kinghts in Armour

Shining knight in armour will be showing up to help march celebrate St George's Fayre, they will be strolling around to make sure the Fayre is safe from the horrible dragon whilst amusing all they come across.

Duck Race
Don’t ‘duck’ out of the fayre too early or you’ll miss the annual duck race from the town bridge at 3 pm. Ducks cost £1 per entry and can be purchased on the day from the scouts on the Town bridge. There will be a £50 cash prize for the first duck across the finish line. Funds raised are in aid of the 1st March Scout Group Reg. Charity 300719.
